The Service Charge Accountant is primarily responsible for the timely production of service charge accounts, monthly reporting, including accruals and prepayments, and managing the Section 20b process and client money handling in accordance with the appropriate codes of practice and RICS standards/ARMA Guidelines.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting related to service charges, supporting the Finance Team, and contributing to the overall financial integrity of POD.
As an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant, you will be supporting the finance team with day to day accounting tasks, accurate processing of invoices, preparation and posting of month end journals plus month end reconciliation across all the balance sheet accounts.

On site, Borehamwood- Mon-Fri 37.5hr week (please note this role does not offer hybrid working arrangements, you will be required to work in office, 5 days/week.)
My client in Borehamwood is looking to recruit a temporary member of staff for at least 3 months, to assist with the migration from one accounting system to another.
Previous experience in an accounting role is not essential, but an interest in the sector would be advantageous.
What is more important is a decent level of computer literacy and the willingness to commit to a temporary role until at least the end of June.
