A part-qualified focused Accountant is required by a local firm to manage the accounts, inputting, reconciliations, month end reporting and quarterly VAT returns, workin with another part-time assistant. Sales ledger (Sage 50): invoicing, credit control, monthly client statements, estimating job commpletion dates and monies in according to amount of job completed Purchase ledger (Suppliers & Company Credit Card): match invoices, to PO, and statements, schedule payments Daily banking transactions (Including reconciliations of cheques, bank online submissions and PayPal): updating payments & receipts, banking cheques Quarterly VAT returns & monthly CIS returns Control & administer petty cash: invoices & maintaining level of funds Cashflow reporting: account for all payments, purchase orders, provisional costs e.g. subcontractors & potential inflow of cash Assisting with month end and year end accounts (Journals & Deferred income) Daily Reporting Managing fuel cards & company credit cards Commission figures for departments, upload salary payments and assist with P11D's What do you need? Competent with Microsoft especially Excel and Sage Line 50 software (or similar) Accounting experience, able to accurately and competently work with figures Must have excellent communication skills Excellent time management and organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines, must be able to deal with heavy workloads and volume. Ability to manage own workload and prioritise under pressure What's on offer? A rapidly growing FMCG organisation in Woking is looking for an Accounts Payable to join their busy finance function on a temp to perm basis. Operating out of modern offices in Woking town centre, this thriving PE-backed business has boomed in recent months, leading to increased workload and the need for additional headcount. While you will initially be engaged as a temporary worker, there is definitely a long-term opportunity here, and the right individual could be made permanent within a matter of weeks. What will the Accounts Payable role involve? Daily processing of supplier invoices onto Sage (c500 per week). Weekly processing of employee expenses (c80-100 per week). Maintaining email inbox and responding to queries (c300 per day). Preparation of invoices for payment and allocation of supplier payments. Reconciliation of direct debit accounts and individual supplier accounts. Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Payable vacancy: Proven track record within a similarly high-volume Accounts Payable role. First rate interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills. Proficient in the use of accounting software (Sage 200 desirable) plus intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge (lookups and pivot tables). Available to start immediately.
