Newly qualified Accountant Location: Norwich, NR1 Wonderful opportunity in a prestiguous location to join the Accounts team where you will be supporting the financial operations by performing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department. Key Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Prepare and maintain financial documents, such as invoices, bills, and bank statements. Prepare year-end company financial statements Prepare Self-assessment and Corporation tax computations Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting software/system. Liaise with clients and assist with inquiries and requests Liaise with HM Revenue and Customs acting as an agent on behalf of the client, dealing with their queries Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and improve processes. Accounts/Outsourcing Assistant Location: Norwich, NR1 My wonderful client based in a prestigious location in the centre of Norwich are expanding and looking for an Accounts/Outsourcing Assistant to join the team. You will be supporting the Outsourcing Manager by performing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department. Ideally fully AAT qualified or part qualified (study package available) Key Responsibilities: Assisting with general bookkeeping for your assigned clients, liaising with them to build the relationship and have a detailed understanding of their business Drafting quarterly and monthly VAT returns for both bookkeeping clients and for those clients who do their own bookkeeping Preparation of Management Accounts in line with clients' VAT periods. This will consist of a review of the Profit & Loss together with producing accurate Balance Sheet reports Producing cashflows for specific clients and attending regular client meetings Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting software/system. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and improve processes.
