Position Overview: Our client is in search of a dedicated Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience working in a practice environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and advancement within their firm.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for clients in accordance with tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and provide advice on VAT-related matters.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients to improve their financial performance.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
Qualifications:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a practice environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of UK and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
