Client Manager Location: UK only (remote role). Must have a designated space to work from due to constant contact with clients, team and director. Role Overview: We're seeking a proactive, solution-oriented individual who constantly looks for smarter and more efficient ways to work. You will be an enthusiastic and experienced Client Manager/Senior Accountant and will be an invaluable support to the founder. You will be responsible for managing and fostering client relationships, ensuring their financial requirements are met with the highest standards of service and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management Act as a point of contact for our portfolio of clients, responding in a timely matter to queries. Advising clients of their personal tax, corporation tax, VAT, payroll and P11D liabilities and payment dates. Identify opportunities to expand services within the existing client base and support client retention. Service Coordination and Delivery Work on monthly and quarterly information packs including planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Providing tax and accounting advice. Preparation of the annual statutory account and corporation tax returns for limited companies. Preparation of the quarterly VAT returns. Assistance in the preparation of monthly fixed salary payrolls. Oversee delivery of accounting and financial reporting services, ensuring precision and timeliness. Supervise the bookkeeper. Team Leadership and Development Mentor and support junior team members as the team grows, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training on technical issues and industry-specific financial challenges and solutions. Qualifications: Education & Experience ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified or equivalent. We will also consider candidates who are qualified by experience. Minimum of 3 years experience in a client-facing role within an accountancy practice. Skills & Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities without micro-management or close supervision. Teamwork having a helpful nature to get stuck into whatever is required. Technical competence in-depth knowledge of accounting, VAT and tax standards and pro-actively keeping up to date with CPD requirements. Proficient in accounting software, Xero, Dext Prepare, TaxCalc.
