Act as first point of contact for all visitors and callers at UNL, ensuring that an efficient and customer focussed reception service is provided to give the best possible impression of the practice.
Answer telephone calls politely and efficiently, passing the call on to the appropriate team member and taking accurate messages when necessary.
We offer residential short breaks for children and young people from 5 years to 21 years old.
It enables children and young people to enjoy time away from home taking part in a range of activities, making friends and developing their independence.
Based in Springburn in Glasgow, Short Breaks is a fantastic service offering family focused support for children and young adults with additional or complex needs.
We are looking for someone with previous experience, perhaps in a similar general maintenance role or as a tradesperson, but you will need to have a positive disposition, be flexible and show an appreciation that you will be working in someone's home.
You will do whatever is needed around the service to ensure that is runs smoothly and safely, including things like; escorting tradesmen when they are in the building, assist with moving of furniture and/or equipment and undertaking maintenance tasks around the Home, which could be painting and decorating, plumbing, electrical, joinery and any other task within your capabilities.
As our handyperson of the service, you will work as part of the staff team liaising with the service manager and senior staff to ensure the upkeep of the building and grounds.
In this role, you will be essential in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our service users.
You'll be involved in various tasks to ensure the smooth running of daily operations, including working in the kitchen, dining areas, and performing general housekeeping tasks.
Your main responsibilities will centre around maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the service, with a strong focus on laundry duties.
