The Occupational Therapist will manage the delivery of complex assessments of both children and adults with regard to Moving and Handling complex equipment, major adaptations which are responsive to the social care needs of the service user in a sensitive and appropriate manner considering and implementing a range of available solutions and interventions.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist with Moving and Handling Advisor experience to join our Client's multidisciplinary team.
Job Purpose
The Occupational Therapist will ensure the provision of a high quality, people-centered service which understands the causes of service user needs in order to improve their opportunities and independence.
Band 6 Occupational Therapy, ASAP, 7.5 hrs - 5 days per week, 3 months rolling contract, Duties include: To carry a varied clinical caseload of care of the elderly patients, varied caseload, Complex MDT discharge planning, Functional / Cognitive Ax Rehabilitation, Complete Access visits and provide equipment.
Skills required: Complex discharge planning and complex functional assessment skills.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Occupational Therapist to work as part of a therapy team in our Primary and Secondary Specialist School which provides flexible day placements for students aged 6-16 years with complex care needs including behaviours that challenge and learning disabilities, often in association with autism spectrum conditions.
