It is a small company so you'll be working within a small team and be responsible for taking a drawing and run the machines of 3, 4 & 5 axis across a mix of mainly Heidenhain Controls etc. This role is rather unique as they produce many different parts and batches, each time machines needs to be set up from drawings so you could be changing it daily/weekly, constantly making things interesting and getting involved with a lot of programming. For this role you will be required to perform the following CNC Miller roles: Manufacture components from drawings working to specific tolerances and agreed timeframes. Install Software programs into machines via various methods including keying from drawing and downloading from databases, also undertake setting and operating as required. Select appropriate materials for each job as required in drawings. Run the machine to produce required components once manufactured. Daily and accurate completion of records including timesheets Self inspect components and report any manufacturing errors to line manager so corrective action can be agreed Work with other departments to set priorities regarding component manufacture to ensure all parts are produced within required timeframes Ideally you will have the below experience/requirements: Successfully completed apprenticeship or previous experience in a similar role CNC programming experience, ideally working with Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak. Experience of working with a wide variety of materials and manufacturing protocols Knowledge of feeds and speeds Pay Information, Work Hours and Company Incentives Starting salary of £30,600 based on a 37 Hour week. Regular Overtime and Weekend work available at Time and a Half and Double Time Working schedule 07:30-15:30 Monday-Friday with an early finish Friday.
