Chrome, Nickel, Cadmium, Silver, Tin, Copper, Phosphate, Heat Treatment, Non Destructive Testing (Nital Etch) and other associated processes, are included within the Metal Finishing section.
Undertaking a breadth of tasks including Electro plating (Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Phosphate, Aqueous cleaning and degreasing, masking to an extensive variety of components from a wide selection of different aircraft platforms.
Support the Metal Finishing Supervisor and Team Leader with delivering the day to day needs of the Metal Finishing operations.
You will work on a broad range of civil engineering and structural assets, from landside assets such as bridges and roadways, to marine assets such as piers, quays and breakwaters.
You will oversee a programme of condition inspections, reporting on inspection findings, and applying your critical judgement to plan an efficient programme of maintenance and repairs that push forward the sustainability agenda.
You will be part of a team responsible for acting as internal consultants to the rest of the Engineering department and the wider business, reviewing designs and specifications to ensure they are aligned to statutory and best practice approaches.
