Senior Test & Development Engineer - £40k-£65k - Cambridgeshire - Test Rig Design Platform Recruitment is collaborating with an automation company developing life changing products. They're looking for experienced Test & Development Engineers to work in a multidisciplinary team and develop bespoke test rigs to enable rigorous testing. You will steer the development towards a reliable and robust system through the creation of bespoke test environments, hands-on testing, and experimental work. You'll be involved in electro-mechanical assembly and testing of components, systems, and later transfer to manufacture. Main Duties: Create bespoke test environments Perform hands-on testing and experimental work Electro-mechanical device assembly and testing Conduct reliability testing Facilitate transfer to manufacture Skills and experience required: Design & build bespoke test rigs Robust technical analysis and documentation skills Experience in electro-mechanical assembly Proven experience in reliability testing methodologies Develop test scripts The salary will be between £40,000-£65,000 depending on experience. A market-leading, international scientific instrument manufacturer is seeking an ambitious Test Engineer to join their team! As an integral part of the product development team, you will be responsible for end-to-end product testing of high-performance electro-mechanical instruments; from verification, validation to documentation. Additional responsibilities include: Identify and investigate performance and software defects Testing and troubleshooting of new and existing systems Effective communication of complex data to other teams to streamline product development Experience required: A degree in Engineering, Physics or equivalent Hands on experience in product testing and reporting Ability to work well in a collaborative environment Knowledgeable in statistical analysis (Python experience is a plus!) Previous experience with high-end scientific equipment would be highly beneficial. The position will be offered on an initial 6-month contract basis, which is highly likely to be to be extended!
