AWE is currently recruiting Mechanical Design Engineers (CAD) to join our Applied Warhead Engineering Team and apply their expertise in support of AWE's Weapon Projects.
The Applied Engineering Group provides expertise that supports the engineering design and development of in-service and future warheads, both directly and in-directly across all key business areas at AWE.
It researches, develops and implements new technologies to help improve the capability and efficiency to design, simulate, manufacture and test across AWE.
The Mechanical Engineer will handle the mechanical design of packaged equipment, including structural steel, pressure vessels, and piping.
Preferably specialised in Structural Design Engineering, with expertise in pressure vessel calculations and piping stress analysis, you will design or collaborate with contractors to define and review design packages.
You will also provide design inputs, manage design issues, and interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and third parties.
We are looking for an engineering geologist with some pervious experience in geotechnical contaminated land site work to take a step forward in your career and work for an award winning ground investigation specialist with over 40 years in the geotechnical engineering industry.
