- *Job Summary:**
The Mechanical Engineer will handle the mechanical design of packaged equipment, including structural steel, pressure vessels, and piping. Preferably specialised in Structural Design Engineering, with expertise in pressure vessel calculations and piping stress analysis, you will design or collaborate with contractors to define and review design packages. You will also provide design inputs, manage design issues, and interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and third parties.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Perform or coordinate mechanical design (structure, vessels, piping, equipment) for process packages, ensuring timely submission of the deliverable.
- Prepare and review design inputs, mechanical engineering deliverable, drawings, and reports.
- Ensure designs meet codes, standards, project specifications, and engineering practices.
- Resolve design issues with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Address customer comments and technical clarifications.
- Adhere to company procedures and standards.
- *Qualifications:**
- Strong adherence to safety and demonstrated safe work habits.
- Experience in mechanical design for complex systems, including piping, equipment, and structures.
- Experience preparing and reviewing calculation notes and reports.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Fluent in English with strong report writing skills.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Mechanical Engineering degree with relevant experience.
- Experience in oil & gas and/or chemicals/petrochemicals industries.
- Proficiency in StaadPro or equivalent structural design software.
- Knowledge of Compress, PV Elite, Caesar, or equivalent software.
