About the Team The Real Estate department specializes in construction, development, urban regeneration, fashion and retail, investment, planning, environment, residential, dispute resolution, finance, and taxation, serving both corporate and private wealth clients. The Construction Dispute Resolution team offers a comprehensive dispute service for the Real Estate sector, covering a wide range of construction disputes including extensions of time, loss and expense, final and interim accounts, defective works, and professional negligence. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a diverse and complex contentious construction caseload, including adjudication, arbitration, litigation, and mediation. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and prepare for hearings, trials, and arbitrations. Collaborate closely with Partners and Senior Associates to develop case strategy, conduct discovery, and provide legal counsel to clients. Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences, and advocate on their behalf in court proceedings. Skills/Experience: Ideal candidates possess 2 to 4 years PQE experience and have trained and qualified with a reputable City law firm or large national firm equivalent. Experience working with high-net-worth clients, including overseas clients, is beneficial. Exposure to developers, investors, lenders, contractors, and consultants in various sectors. Proficient drafting and negotiating skills. Resilient, adaptable, and proactive with strong teamwork skills.
