About the Team

  • The Real Estate department specializes in construction, development, urban regeneration, fashion and retail, investment, planning, environment, residential, dispute resolution, finance, and taxation, serving both corporate and private wealth clients.
  • With a robust network of connections and investors, coupled with a deep understanding of the intricate policy landscape, the team deliver practical commercial solutions with unwavering determination.
  • The Construction Dispute Resolution team offers a comprehensive dispute service for the Real Estate sector, covering a wide range of construction disputes including extensions of time, loss and expense, final and interim accounts, defective works, and professional negligence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse and complex contentious construction caseload, including adjudication, arbitration, litigation, and mediation.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and prepare for hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate closely with Partners and Senior Associates to develop case strategy, conduct discovery, and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences, and advocate on their behalf in court proceedings.

Skills/Experience:

  • Ideal candidates possess 2 to 4 years PQE experience and have trained and qualified with a reputable City law firm or large national firm equivalent.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients, including overseas clients, is beneficial.
  • Exposure to developers, investors, lenders, contractors, and consultants in various sectors.
  • Proficient drafting and negotiating skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and proactive with strong teamwork skills.
