Ensure food is prepared and served in a safe and hygienic manner, following all health and safety regulations. Carry out general kitchen tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment. Assist in organising special events and themed menus to enhance the dining experience. Monitor and maintain stock levels, placing orders as required. Requirements: A passion for food and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for our students. Previous experience in a catering role is desirable but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. This is a newly created role to bridge the gap between the Finance Director and the accounts team. The role will be provided with ongoing support from a Practice-trained FD and there will be endless opportunities to add value and gain a broad skill set. Duties will include - Month end close and management accounting for four trading businesses and a holding company Consolidation of results into the monthly reporting pack Full balance sheet control and reconciliations across all entities Group treasury Credit Control oversight in conjunction with the FD Liaison with advisors to ensure compliance with regular HMRC matters i.e. PAYE, VAT, CIS, Corp Tax Overseeing processing of month-end journals Inter-company reconciliations and re-charges KPI reporting using excel and other software reporting tools 13 week cash flow preparation and management Management of the transactional team Ongoing project support for system implementations, acquisitions etc This is the perfect opportunity for a recently qualified accountant who is looking for a broad role to help them progress to an FC role within two years.
