Accounts Assistant Annual Salary: £25k - £28k Location: Little Hallingbury Job Type: Full-time - office based We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting practices and a keen interest in furthering their qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including ledger management, bank reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Day-to-day of the role: Entry of sales and purchase ledger documents. Conducting daily bank reconciliations. Executing weekly supplier payment runs. Handling customer and supplier queries efficiently. Managing accounts payable mailboxes. Providing support and management to the remote team. Assisting in the preparation of documents and reports for monthly management accounts. Performing basic bookkeeping duties. Required Skills & Qualifications: AAT Qualification or actively working towards it. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, if statements, table formatting, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite. Ideally, some knowledge of Access databases. Sufficient IT knowledge to perform job functions effectively. Strong initiative with a willingness to learn and grow within the business. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and problem-solve. A team player mentality, eager to learn and support others within the team and business.
