Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting practices and a keen interest in furthering their qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including ledger management, bank reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Entry of sales and purchase ledger documents.
- Conducting daily bank reconciliations.
- Executing weekly supplier payment runs.
- Handling customer and supplier queries efficiently.
- Managing accounts payable mailboxes.
- Providing support and management to the remote team.
- Assisting in the preparation of documents and reports for monthly management accounts.
- Performing basic bookkeeping duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT Qualification or actively working towards it.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, if statements, table formatting, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ideally, some knowledge of Access databases.
- Sufficient IT knowledge to perform job functions effectively.
- Strong initiative with a willingness to learn and grow within the business.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and problem-solve.
- A team player mentality, eager to learn and support others within the team and business.
