The role will involve managing the procurement of services and capital expenditure items and managing the relevant category Buyer. Senior Buyer Permanent Salary dependent on experience Monday - Friday Minworth Senior Buyer Job Description Creating and delivering commodity strategies including CAPEX, Packaging, Logistics, and Consumables. Directly managing indirect spend in the Midlands & managing a business unit of 1 remote head. Commercially managing the supplier base day-to-day, including cost reduction. Maximising profitability through idea generation on commercial or process wins. Managing supplier delivery issues and negotiating claims. Senior Buyer Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications Strong previous experience in an indirect purchasing role. Experience buying services and CAPEX. Ability to travel to other sites across the UK maximum travel requirement of one night away every week. While not essential, experience of indirect purchasing within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous. Relevant Skills and Knowledge The requisite technical knowledge and qualification - Level 4 Dip or equivalent, with CAS and SPS Provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm's compliance manual and procedures. Specific Responsibilities Prospect / contact potential clients in accordance with the firm's business plan / supervisor's guidance. Ensure sufficient client information obtained and analyse information gathered. Undertake sufficient product and market research. Ensure suitable recommendations are made. Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained. Maintain and build on fee income. Carry out client reviews in accordance with individual Client Agreements and firm's On-going Service procedures. Ensure a current, in date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) is held at all times. Attain and maintain level of competence as required by the firm. Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm. Ensure relevant CPD is maintained and recorded accurately.
