Job Title: Laser / Waterjet Machine Operator
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week

About The Role:
The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating and programming CNC machines for laser cutting, water jet cutting, and wood routing.
The Machinist will be responsible for cutting with metals, plastics, ceramics and other materials and using the in house machine software.
Key Requirements:
- Operate and program our Waterjet cutting machine
- Set up and calibrate machines to ensure accurate and precise cutting of substrates
- Be able to read engineering drawings and use basic measuring equipment
- Be able to use and understand CAD software
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the cutting process
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Consistency regardless of project size
- Check completed work for accuracy and quality
About you:
Skills:
- Good organisational skills
- Liaising effectively with other team members
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically in one or all of the following- laser cutting, water jet cutting, and wood routing
- Proficient in operating and programming CNC machines
- Knowledge of different substrates and their cutting requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
