Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Herne Bay
Start Date: 4th November 2024
Salary: £450.00 to £600.00 per week (PAYE, Pension, Weekly Pay, CPD)

Academics is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in the area, seeking committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on a student's academic and personal growth by providing tailored one-on-one support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to an assigned student, focusing on both their academic progress and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SEN Lead to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Offer regular feedback on student progress, addressing any concerns or adjustments that may be needed.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

1:1 Teaching Assistant - Herne Bay

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or small group capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • A proactive approach and ability to follow direction while working as part of a team.

Qualifications (one of the following is ideal):

  • A degree qualification.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
