Company Overview
We're collaborating with a prominent consultancy supporting the London insurance market in a Salesforce transformation project aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer engagement. We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Business Consultant with expertise in Financial Services Cloud (FSC), OmniStudio, and Salesforce Industries/Vlocity Insurance solutions to guide this initiative.
Role Summary
As the Salesforce Business Consultant, you'll be responsible for the management and configuration of the Salesforce platform to align with client business objectives using agile methodologies. This role involves direct development work, strategic oversight, and close interaction with stakeholders to optimise processes and enhance user experience. You'll also be key in training and expanding Salesforce capabilities across the organisation, ensuring the platform's full utilisation in support of productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main consultant to business stakeholders to capture, confirm, and prioritise business requirements. Lead workshops and discussions to identify high-impact solutions.
- Requirements Analysis: Collect and consolidate insights to develop solution frameworks that meet the business's functional needs, with a focus on enhancing user experience, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- System Management: Oversee the Salesforce platform's administration and development, ensuring the full utilisation of FSC, OmniStudio, and Salesforce Industries features to support business objectives.
- Documentation: Produce comprehensive functional, technical, and system design documentation. Develop test scenarios and oversee UAT to ensure successful deployment of new functionality.
- Reporting & Analytics: Create complex reports and dashboards to track key business metrics, enabling informed, data-driven decision-making.
- Training and Change Management: Act as the Salesforce champion by delivering training, creating user guides, and fostering a network of Salesforce super-users.
- Vendor and Team Coordination: Work with third-party vendors, technical teams, and project managers to ensure cohesive execution of system enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Salesforce Expertise: 10+ years of Salesforce experience, with extensive knowledge of Financial Services Cloud, OmniStudio, and Salesforce Industries for the insurance sector.
- System Development & Analysis: Strong technical and strategic capability to lead Salesforce development and platform customisation to align with agile methodologies.
- Business & Technical Documentation: Proficiency in creating process maps, data models, technical specifications, and business cases for system enhancements.
- Project Facilitation: Experienced in leading workshops, conducting requirements-gathering sessions, and documenting solutions.
- SDLC Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, coupled with experience in business process improvements.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio for creating and managing project documentation.
Desirable Certifications
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM201)
- Salesforce Industries Certifications (such as OmniStudio Developer, Platform Developer)
- Salesforce Certified Consultant (Financial Services Cloud and/or Service Cloud)
- Agile Project Management Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
