Reed LTA are currently working with a vibrant and inclusive Secondary school in the Preston area. We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who is passionate about education and enjoys working with young people. This role is crucial for maintaining continuity of learning when regular teachers are absent. This full-time role commences in September 24 for the whole academic year.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Supervise classes across various subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their studies.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, addressing any behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
  • Assist students with their work, providing guidance and encouraging active participation and independent learning.
  • Facilitate group activities and discussions to enhance the learning experience.
  • Take attendance, organize classroom materials, and collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and subject areas.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude are essential for managing classroom dynamics.
