Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)

Mash Media is a leading publishing and events company specialising in creating world-class experiences, education, and networking opportunities for professionals across key industries. The PA Show is our flagship event series serving the personal assistant, executive assistant, and administrative professional communities through live events, content, and commercial opportunities.

We are looking for a driven and highly organised Marketing Manager to lead on the end-to-end planning, delivery, and performance of the marketing campaigns for The PA Show's live events portfolio, including both London and regional shows. The ideal candidate will be confident working across multi-channel campaigns to drive registrations, ticket sales, delegate engagement, and speaker promotion.

Your Role

As the Exhibitions Marketing Manager for The PA Show, you will report into the Portfolio Director and work closely with the sales, content, and operations teams. You will take responsibility for marketing strategy, ticket revenue delivery, campaign execution, and engagement with key partners and speakers. You'll be the central point for all things marketing across the PA Show brand.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Campaigns

  • Build and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to support delegate ticket sales and visitor registrations
  • Develop and maintain a robust marketing timeline, ensuring deadlines across all activities are met
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, optimising towards targets using key metrics (CTR, open rates, conversion)
  • Align all content and design to brand guidelines and audience tone
  • Create digital and printed collateral for the event including brochures, signage, scripts and promotional graphics

Speaker and Content Marketing

  • Lead on all content marketing around the agenda, including building call-for-speakers campaigns
  • Manage relationships with confirmed speakers to drive pre-event promotion
  • Work with the content team to promote education strands, stage line-ups and session highlights
  • Liaise with speakers to ensure onboarding documents, assets and schedules are delivered on time

Partner and Stakeholder Communications

  • Act as primary point of contact for marketing partnerships and trade associations
  • Plan and manage reciprocal media deals, tracking deliverables and reach
  • Support commercial partners with co-branded marketing collateral and promotional timelines
  • Create and deliver exhibitor toolkits and promotional assets

Registration and Ticket Sales

  • Manage and optimise the delegate registration journey
  • Work with third-party registration platforms and partners to ensure smooth user experience
  • Design email nurturing campaigns for incomplete registrations and upsell opportunities
  • Drive advance ticket sales through segmented targeting, incentives and strategic discounts

Onsite and Post-Event

  • Deliver onsite branding, signage, and printed materials
  • Coordinate with operations on schedule timings, wayfinding and live updates
  • Create post-event marketing reports and feedback forms
  • Share insights with the internal team to inform future campaign strategy

Community Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Attendance to key partner events for networking purposes
  • Regular monitoring of key social groups and insight feedback to team members
  • Positioning yourself as a voice of reason and knowledge amongst the community

KPIs

  • Growth in ticket revenue and registration volume year-on-year
  • Improved campaign open, click-through and conversion rates
  • Engagement levels across key digital platforms (social, email, paid ads)
  • Timely delivery of all campaign assets
  • Positive partner and speaker feedback

Success Measurements

  • Increased pre-registration vs. previous editions
  • Social media growth and higher engagement on speaker and partner-led posts
  • Number and quality of media partnerships secured
  • Accurate, on-time delivery of promotional campaigns
  • Return on investment from paid and organic campaigns

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in exhibition or event marketing
  • Experience driving ticket revenue and registrations
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills
  • Comfortable using CMS, email platforms, CRM and design tools
  • Confidence in managing speaker relationships and outbound messaging
  • Good understanding of analytics, A/B testing and campaign optimisation
