Position: Field Care Supervisor

Location: Melksham, Wiltshire

Salary: £12.30 - £14.35 per hour depending on shift + holiday top - up payments made for regular overtime (T's & C's)

Hours: Various shifts, 40 hours per week. Working alternate weekends is essential

The role:

As a Field Care Supervisor you will be working for an organisation that supports people in their day-to-day lives, helping them to enjoy the comfort and familiarity of their own homes while ensuring that their wellbeing, and care needs are met, 24 hours a day.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and mentoring teams to deliver excellent quality services and care
  • Carry out regular Supervisions for Support Workers
  • Assist with covering absence and sickness of the staff team
  • Medication audits, spot checks quality review and supervising staff team to dispense medication
  • Quality control audits
  • Maintaining individuals care records
  • Completing both medical and general competency checks
  • Participate in monthly team & team leader meetings
  • Induction of new team members
  • On call duties and to take part in the on-call rota, including alternate weekends

About you:

Essential skills for this role include:

  • NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • demonstrable understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable people,
  • MCA and DOLS understanding of the requirements
  • strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills,
  • broad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditions
  • Participating in on call essential
  • A valid driving licence with access to a vehicle
