Finance Business Partner - Commercial Bid - Lincoln / Hybrid - £50,000 - £60,000

This is a rapidly growing and highly innovative defence and technology company that designs and delivers advanced defence-related training, products, and services.

This award-winning organisation is recruiting a Finance Business Partner/Commercial Bid Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance function in strategic bids, ensuring financial considerations are integral to the decision-making process.
  • Act as a trusted business partner for operational units, providing financial guidance and support.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and 5-year planning processes for the Operational Business Unit (OBU).
  • Review bid documentation, identifying financial aspects and advising on the evaluation methodologies.
  • Develop cost and pricing models to support bids, working closely with the commercial team and stakeholders.
  • Manage SAP Concur expenses system and ensure financial processes align with company objectives.
  • Lead Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting and strategy within the finance function.
  • Identify and communicate financial risks to ensure all bid team members understand the implications.

Requirements:

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in business partnering and commercial bid management.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reviewing and interpreting financial bid documents.
  • Must be a UK National with the ability to pass national security vetting (minimum UK residency of 5 years).

Location: Hybrid working (home-based with occasional travel to offices in Lincoln or other locations as required).
