We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Business Travel Consultant to join our client based in Hampshire. Reporting into Operations manager, responsible for providing Travel services to the existing Travel clients.
The Job:
- To work with minimal supervision within the existing Business Travel Team
- Be instrumental in assisting implementation of New Business
- Mentor and assist other Consultants/Trainees in the team
- Understand and work within the agreed Service Level Agreements for our individual Client base
- Be able to quote and process Air Fares to include Domestic, European, Long-haul, Route deals, Low-cost, NDC and Consolidated options in both the UK market place as well as overseas market places.
- Provide a minimum of 3 well defined and informed choices to all clients.
- Be able to search and offer Hotel, Car Hire, Ferries and ancillary products such as Car parking and Chauffeur Drive in the quote process.
- Be able to confidently arrange ticket reissues and refunds. Be able to confidently do a manual fare build, manual reissue and manual refund and be able to re-train other staff on this.
- Be able to manage and maintain your Outlook mailbox and all other Mailboxes set up for clients.
- Be able to create and maintain client profiles in the GDS Demonstrate a good working method which proves prioritisation and organisation of workflow is understood.
- Proactively contribute to staff meetings and Job chats within the department.
- Supervise consultants in the department and assist with training where needed/asked.
- Have a good understanding of the groups Health and safety procedures and to know where to find information relating to this and group procedures via the company's intranet.
- Ensure all your back office reject queues are cleared and assist other staff with clearing their rejects. Maintain all Sabre Q's throughout the day so they are cleared.
- Ensure you are familiar with every Q and why the booking is there. Invoice out Hotel, Car and Ancillary billbacks Undertake any admin jobs as directed by your line manager.
- Attend any client visits as directed by a Manager/Director.
- Attend any industry events as directed by a Manager/Director
The Person:
- Minimum of 3 years Business Travel experience in a Trainee or Consultant role
- Working knowledge of a GDS - SABRE essential
- Experience of Microsoft Word/Excel
- Knowledge of a Back-office system
The Package:
Salary - £28,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus
Monday - Friday
