Sellick Partnership is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Officer to join our Birmingham based client.

They will be joining the team for an exciting new opportunity in designing, developing, and implementation of our updated Learning Management system (LMS). Working within our Academy, the role requires you to find opportunities for continuous improvement, keeping the system up to date and providing insightful learning data, whilst supporting the development of digital learning solutions across the organisation.

The successful Learning and Development Officer will complete the discovery and implementation phase of the LMS project. Providing detailed, high level technical advice to the Learning Academy team in relation to learning technology trends, digital learning solutions and processes to maintain a credible LMS.

The Learning and Development Officer Duties will include:

  • Coordinating with stakeholders to map skills to competencies for differing roles and learning needs, ensuring that Learning solutions are appropriately assigned to each user
  • Developing LMS policies, procedures, and governance
  • Leading on controlled testing, pilot launch, go live launch and provide ongoing support
  • Design, develop and deliver system training on how to use the LMS effectively
  • Liaising with external contacts to troubleshoot and solve system issues
  • Continuously improving the design of the LMS and learning solutions, identifying the most efficient ways of working
  • Working alongside the Academy to enable the LMS to support the learning offer delivery and tracking

The Ideal Learning and Development Office will:

  • Be proficient IT and relevant system skills (Microsoft office skills, Articulate 360, Photoshop and InDesign).
  • Be able to analyse and interpret data for a range of purposes.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to present data and concepts to influence a range of stakeholders.
  • Have strong presentation skills.
  • Be able to understand learning and development requirements and provide specialist impartial advice and to recognise opportunities for improvement.
  • Have experience in a Learning and development environment and of an LMS implementation.

The Learning and Development Officer will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
