We are recruiting an IT Engineer/Technician to join an established business in the Harlow area.
This permanent role offers a competitive salary range of £33k-£35k with good benefits and an exciting opportunity for professional development to learn new technology and become a product specialist. You will be an experienced IT professional with experience in Microsoft and Cisco software and hardware. You will be pivotal in supporting the business by managing repairs, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Set up desktops and laptops with network connectivity.
- Audit systems, assess results, and remediate for security, performance, and compliance.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Monitor the performance of all IT systems.
- Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules.
- Administer user login and email accounts.
- Ensure high-level security of data, network access, and backup systems.
- Set up and administer video and audio conference equipment.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Preferred requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
- Thorough knowledge of information technology, computer systems, applications, and networking.
- Ability to engage with line managers and colleagues.
- Knowledge of internet security and data governance.
- Experience with firewall and network management.
