Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Design Engineer to work in the new Product Development Team for a manufacturer of specialist plastic products used in a variety of markets including the construction ,transport and leisure sectors.
The role is for a skilled Design Engineer to work in NPD providing concepts and CAD designs for the full range of plastic extruded products. As the ideal candidate you will be a graduate with some experience in the role of design engineer or product engineer. You will be able to demonstrate skills in designing on CAD to develop briefs , understand manufacturing processes and have a practical approach to manufacturing underpinning your creative skills.
Our client is also open to applications from new Graduates from Product Design or Engineering Design degrees with skills developed in a placement or through university projects and will be able to help develop and mentor their skills and progression.
The scope of the work will include:
- Developing engineering solutions, including materials, finishes and textures
- Project Management
- Working throughout the process including prototyping, manufacturing and costing
- New Product Development
- CAD Design in 2D and 3D
- Working closely with customers. internal teams and external suppliers to produce practical solutions to meet customer demands while considering manufacturing process boundaries.
