Position: KS1 Learning Support Assistant, 1 year Maternity Cover
Location: Hackney
Start Date: September 2024
Pay: £85- £90 a day
At Tradewind we are currently recruiting for a KS1 Learning Assistant with experience working with SEN pupils. The role is split into afternoon and morning sessions. The morning session will be working with a Year 1 girl with ASD and afternoon will be supporting a Year 3 Boy with ADHD. The school are looking for someone to join them from September 2024, while there Learning Support Assistant leaves for Maternity.
The role:
- Working in the morning supporting a Year 1 pupil with ASD, and Afternoons supporting a Year 3 pupil with ADHD.
- Incorporating both pupils into the classroom as best as possible
- 1:1 intervention with both pupils
- Helping the teacher organise and set up for the day
- Working alongside the teacher and SENCO to follow plans for both pupils
- Resilience and dedication is crucial for this role
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
