Colmore Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 4 student on a 1:1 basis in a mainstream secondary school in Redditch. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's educational journey by providing tailored support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized 1:1 support to a KS4 student with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the student's specific needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging the student's social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members to monitor progress and ensure consistent support.
- Promote positive behavior and engagement in both academic and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a SEN setting.
- A strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- A commitment to supporting the student's academic, social, and emotional growth.
