Location: Hinckley

Duration: Initial 3 months

Pay Rate: Circa * £30 per hour (PAYE)

Overview

Join our high profile utilities client's team as a Team Manager and lead a multi-disciplinary group to success! Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will inspire and empower your team with clear vision, strong expectations, and a focus on collaboration and innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • The construction, reinforcement, alteration, and replacement of assets in accordance with Engineering Directives within a specified location.
  • The maintenance and repair of assets in accordance with Engineering Directives within a specified location.
  • The restoration of supplies to customers and repair of faulty assets in accordance with Engineering Directives within a specified location.

Activities Include:

  • Promote Safety Culture: Foster a safe working environment through regular safety inspections, operational checks, and incident investigations with corrective actions.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the team consistently meets high customer service standards and achieves related performance targets.
  • Representation and Communication: Act as the spokesperson for the team both internally and externally on relevant issues.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor tasks and budgets to ensure work aligns with financial and programmatic expectations, including approving and managing capital schemes.
  • Leadership and Change Management: Set a clear vision, lead change effectively, and manage both the annual network program and daily operational activities.
  • Team Direction and Accountability: Establish clear goals, monitor progress, and ensure team members understand and meet expectations, recognising and celebrating success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and improve team performance and work processes.
  • Team Environment and Well-being: Build a trusting, inclusive team environment, support colleagues' physical and mental health, and encourage open communication.
  • Diversity and Development: Promote diversity, support colleague development, and provide constructive feedback to maximise potential.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • A minimum of City and Guilds 2339 or engineering / business management equivalent.
  • Leadership capability aligned to the expectation of the role
  • Engineering Level 4 qualification or relevant business management qualification.
