Finance Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the operating costs for all service functions within a successful college in Oxford. This will be a pivotal role which involves collaborating with senior leadership and line management of the finance and payroll team. The successful candidate will ensure the maintenance of financial records, preparation of management accounts and compliance with statutory requirements.

Finance Manager R esponsibilities:

As the Finance Manager your key duties will include:

  • Preparation of management accounts and month end accounting
  • Produce monthly financial accounts
  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting and tax regulations
  • Implement effective internal controls
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
  • Tuition fee invoicing
  • Administer payroll and staff benefit schemes
  • Oversight of rental properties, leases and assets
  • Growth management and involvement with investment proposals
  • Line manage a team of 3 or 4

The Company

Finance Manager Experience

This position would suit someone who has demonstrable experience in a similar Finance Management or senior finance position ideally within the Education or public sector. ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, ideally you will also have knowledge and experience using MS Dynamics, OneStream and Navision. This position requires someone with strong line management skills and someone who is positive, proactive and capable of working to tight deadlines. Previous experience looking after company assets, leases or properties would be extremely helpful alongside knowledge of IFRS16.

Location

This is a hybrid position near Summertown, Oxford with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
