Full Stack with DevOps Engineer

Posted by Cathcart Technology.

A SaaS organisation on the outskirts of Edinburgh City Centre are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer, ideally with some AWS / DevOps Experience to join their team. They're well-established and have been running for around 20 years now but have maintained their start-up model and continue to innovate the market with their work.

They work with an impressive range of clientele - some globally recognised, household names - who use their products daily in a bid to move into a digital mode of working and improve the speed of their business operations. They have ambitions to grow beyond their current market and have recently expanded their operations from the UK-only, into the EU.

You will be joining their DevOps team but there are opportunities to collaborate with other teams across the business including their near 20-strong Engineering team. The role itself will be mostly programming-based with some DevOps work within this, so you will ideally have an understanding of a programming language as well as a grasp of working with AWS.

You'll ideally have experience in the following:

** 3+ years of commercial experience with a programming language (PHP, Java, Python)

** AWS for cloud services

** Terraform to automate infrastructure tasks

** Unix/Linux for CLI

They're based just outside Edinburgh City Centre where there's good links to public transport, as well as on-site parking. For the first 3 months you will be required on-site at least 3 days per week, where you will work in person with the DevOps team to get you up to scratch with their work. After this, they offer fully flexible working where you can work fully remote, or come into the office as you please.

In return, they're offering a salary of £40k to £55k, as well as a generous list of benefits(30 days holiday with opportunity to buy more, continued development with annual training budget, great working environment and high-spec work station, amongst others....)
