Our client, a university based in Glasgow, is investing in a multi-million-pound capital and maintenance plan designed to improve the range and quality of facilities available. They are looking for a building surveyor to join their team.
Building Surveyor – The Role:
The Building Surveyor will oversee the maintenance of university properties, manage budgets for projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and address building-related risks.
Building Surveyor – Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a planned maintenance and refurbishment programme for university properties
- Liaise with Mechanical, Electrical, and Learning Services colleagues to ensure the delivery of modern facilities
- Carry out fabric inspections and building surveys
- Prepare detailed reports to ensure buildings are safe to occupy and compliant with relevant legislation
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of the annual planned maintenance programme
- Support a multi-million-pound capital and maintenance plan designed to improve the range and quality of facilities available to staff and students across the University Estate
Building Surveyor – You:
- Bachelor's degree in building surveying or a related field
- Experience in property maintenance and project management
- Competent in delivering managerial and technical solutions
- Knowledge of asbestos regulations and requirements
- Experience with budget expenditure and cost reports
