Job Title: Lower KS2 Teacher

I'm working witha vibrant and forward-thinking three-form entry primary school located in the picturesque borough of Richmond upon Thames. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can excel. Their recent Ofsted inspection rated us as ‘Good' with outstanding qualities and they are on a clear path towards achieving ‘Outstanding'.

Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lower KS2 Teacher to join the dedicated team in September 2024. This full-time role is initially offered on a contract basis until July 2025, with the potential for a permanent position thereafter. The ideal candidate will be looking for opportunities to step up into middle management in the near future, benefiting from the excellent professional development and career progression opportunities available at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students in Lower KS2.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages student engagement.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community to support student well-being and achievement.
  • Participate actively in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience teaching in KS2.
  • A strong understanding of the Lower KS2 curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ambition to step up into middle management and take on additional responsibilities in the future.
