An established business near Swansea are recruiting now recruiting for a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.

The organisation provide crucial services to their customers and are active in the community. The company has a strong social conscience as well as developing a commercial awareness. The Finance Business Partner feeds into this by working with internal colleagues to provide financial insight and analysis.

Finance Business Partner job description

  • Understand business objectives, strategies and risks and quantify the financial impacts of these.
  • Use financial expertise to understand and communicate business performance monthly, through the analytical review of the month end and year to date results.
  • Understanding the root cause of issues and working with colleagues to develop operational KPI's and action plans that deliver the required financial performance.
  • Prepare the Annual Mid-Year Forecast analysis, manage the process to completion and sign off.
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of financial performance and accurately forecast future cashflows.
  • Understand and update strategic and operational risks as required, ensuring that potential financial risks are understood and quantified.
  • Develop new analysis and insight to influence, support and improve decision making.
  • Champion the consistent application of financial policies and procedures.
  • Support the development of financial literacy of non-financial colleagues to assist in the understanding of financial performance.

Finance Business Partner person specification

  • Professionally qualified Accountant.
  • Able to build meaningful relationships and partnerships, based on mutual trust and accountability
  • Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail and understanding root cause, with a focus on the bigger picture, generating meaningful insights from trends and patterns in large data sets.
  • Ability to think creatively when working with ambiguous or incomplete data to diagnose and solve complex problems, offering multiple solutions.
  • Expertise in using Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI, with the ability to develop other in house systems to enable self-service of data collation, analysis and presentation to customers and colleagues.
