HR Administrator

A well-established business is looking for an HR Administrator to provide a professional and effective day-to-day human resource administration service for employees, managers, and other workers. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient onboarding processes and ongoing compliance, supporting new starters through the onboarding process, and ensuring pre-employment checks and compliance documents are obtained in line with company policy and regulatory requirements. Along with a salary of £25,000 - £26000 (neg) per annum, you will also receive 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, an employee assistance programe and more! This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days working in the office

As HR Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accuracy of HR database and promptly updating employee details.
  • Creating and issuing employment contracts and contract variations, ensuring high levels of accuracy and sharing relevant information for payroll processing.
  • Documenting, updating, and following HR transactional processes to ensure compliance and efficiency throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Handling telephone and email queries professionally, fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Providing administrative support across the HR team, including assistance with ad-hoc tasks, projects, and cyclical HR activities such as annual performance reviews, employee engagement surveys, and annual pay reviews.
  • Managing first line enquiries regarding employee relations matters and escalating where appropriate.
  • Supporting employee relations cases concerning probation, sickness absence, flexible working requests, etc.
  • Facilitating the onboarding process for new hires utilising an online system, ensuring completion and accurate recording of necessary documentation, pre-employment checks, and induction arrangements..
  • Communicating effectively with new starters and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and professional onboarding experience.
  • Ensuring all onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements are in line with company policy and regulatory requirements, and that records are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Checking the legitimacy of various documents, qualifications, references, and information provided in line with procedure, escalating any concerns, and conducting face-to-face document checks when required on site.

What we're looking for in an HR Administrator?

Full training will be provided, but you need to be well-organised, friendly and have good administration experience. You will have the ability to deal with a variety of clients. You must be self-motivated with excellent computer skills and have polished communication skills. You must be able to work under pressure. Teamwork is also essential to succeeding in this role.
