Role: SHEQ Advisor
Salary: £27,000-£28000
Benefits: Flexible working, 25 days annual leave, 3 staff outings per year + Christmas do, mileage allowance, access to fleet vehicle for site meetings
Due to company growth, I am seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join an exciting new client in Chatham. This is the perfect opportunity for a H&S passionate person to excel their career into a management role. Working alongside an external H&S Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting H&S conscious working across the business, maintaining accreditations, completing audits and producing RAMS.
Duties will include:
- Develop and implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and produce method statements
- Investigate incidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Implement and maintain quality systems, conduct audits, and address customer feedback to ensure high service standards.
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation for all H&S processes
- Complete both internals and external audits to maintain company standards and accreditations
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders, and facilitate SHEQ communication within the company.
- Incident reporting and management
- Monitor industry trends and lead initiatives to enhance safety, environmental performance, and quality
Ideal Candidate
- IOSH essential
- Results focussed and willing to advance their career to management level
- Knowledge of SHEQ Regulations
- Experience producing RAMS
- Experience in upholding and auditing ISO, Constructionline, CHAS, Safecontractor
- Willing to travel to site to complete audits
