This exciting opportunity is perfect for an experienced A-Level Lecturer who is looking to step up into a Course Manager role. Responsibilities:

? Delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to ensure high rates of

attendance, completion and achievement.

? To ensure the outstanding delivery of A Level History & A Level Politics programmes

leading to outstanding success rates and Value Added.

? Coordinate the monitoring and tracking of learners' assessments and achievements

using ProMonitor.

? Liaise with tutors and teachers to ensure that learning plans are regularly updated and

reflect learner progress.

? Coordinate the collation and storage of course materials and awarding body

correspondence including the use of Moodle based storage / courses.

? Quality assure all course and delivery materials to ensure awarding body and college

compliance in conjunction with the relevant CAM.

? Lead course quality reviews in line with the college calendar.

? Monitor and recommend resources and learning materials required for effective and

compliant delivery in conjunction with the relevant CAM.

? Ensure course performance is recorded accurately through the use of management

information and Pro Achieve.

? Have the overview on course related enrichment activities and trips and ensure team

and CAM awareness.

? Support the collection of learner views / voice forums for relevant courses and

document feedback in a timely manner to ensure required improvements are met.

? Attend all relevant Curriculum Area and Cross-College meetings and contribute to the

development of Teaching, Learning and Assessment within the college.

? Chair regular team meetings as specified by the Curriculum area management team

and ensure that Team meetings follow standard College agenda.

? Liaise with the iZone team to ensure that course team complete and maintain all

appropriate programme documentation, management and statistical information in line

with Curriculum Area, College and external procedures.

? Undertake reasonable promotional and marketing activity as agreed with CAM and

within the parameters of the Collective Agreement

? Where required act as a group tutor and provide effective support to learners in line with college policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering A- Level Politics and A-Level History
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
