Job Title: Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant

Location: Mildenhall

Remuneration: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

Contract Details: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a well-established organisation based in Mildenhall, are seeking a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant to join their Finance and Administration team. Your main role will be to assist with all Purchase Ledger tasks for the group, as well as provide support in other finance department functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, matching purchase orders to invoices and GRN's
  • Investigate and resolve purchase ledger related queries with suppliers and internal departments
  • Reconcile supplier statements and prepare supplier payment runs
  • Assist with month-end processing and review of aged creditors reports
  • Provide support with sales ledger, cash management, and financial reporting duties
  • Handle daily time and attendance queries
  • Perform general finance office duties as required

What are we looking for?

  • Working knowledge of purchase ledger
  • Accounting skills desirable but no formal qualifications required
  • Good level of English and Maths
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Enthusiastic and methodical approach
  • Process-driven with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to work to deadlines
