Site Engineer

Job Description:

As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our Stockton-On-Tees scheme. You will be responsible for setting out, levelling, and surveying the site, ensuring all engineering activities are completed to the highest standards. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform site surveys, set out construction works, and ensure accurate measurements and levels.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee and inspect the work of subcontractors to ensure adherence to plans and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, daily reports, and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineers to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Conduct quality control checks and manage any technical issues that arise during construction.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants to resolve design and construction queries.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally with a Tier One contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and processes.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, including Total Stations and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel to the site in Stockton-On-Tees.
