Monday - Friday Days

Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. They are looking for a proactive and driven hands-on Site Engineering Manager to lead & develop their engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Be a hands-on manager, leading from the front
  • Managing a team of X12 people
  • Provide engineers with training & development plans
  • PPM planning, strategic workload allocation, project management
  • Creating SSoW, RAMS, RTW's, continuous improvement plans
  • Monitor and manage KPi's, budget targets, engineering compliance, health & safety
  • Staff performance reviews, disciplinaries, appraisals, holiday management, sickness

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, ideally electrically biased
  • Happy to be a hands-on manager
  • Qualified to HNC / HND level ideally
  • Must have worked in some form of high-speed/volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, continuous improvements, KPi performance management
  • Experienced in creating SSoW (Safe Systems of Work), new procedures, SOP's
  • Financial control & budget monitoring experience
  • Beneficial to have IOSH / NEBOSH Health & Safety
  • Strong and effective communicator
