Senior Data Engineer – Up to £70,000 basic salary – Commodities – Edinburgh (Remote Working)
As a Senior Data Engineer within the commodities industry, you will design, build, manage, and optimise data pipelines and models used by their Data Scientists and Traders. You'll work closely with Data Management teams on governance and security, and with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver these data solutions effectively into production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, create, and improve data pipelines, tools, and processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT experts to deliver high-quality analytics and data science solutions.
- Align developments with the long-term Data Strategy.
- Utilize the latest advances in technology to support production solutions.
- Promote data and analytics understanding among business stakeholders.
Requirements
:
- Extensive experience in Python/PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Azure, Streamlit or similar platforms.
- Strong technical computing, analysis, design, and development skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Experience designing and operating analytics solutions using Azure cloud technologies.
