Senior Manager Financial Planning

We need an AWEsome Senior Manager for Financial Planning with either CIMA**/ ACCA or equivalent qualification** to join our Finance team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Location: Our offices are based in Berkshire, RG7 4PR between Reading and Basingstoke with onsite parking.

Salary Range: £59,020 to £69,000

What does a typical day for a Senior Manager for Financial Planning look like?

  • Supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in shaping and delivering the FP&A annual objectives
  • Managing the forecasting (Integrated Business Planning (IBP)) and budgeting (Annual Budget Cycle (ABC) processes to ensuring compliance
  • Providing direction to the business partnering and project controls teams to develop their IBP plans with appropriate reporting, processes, guidelines, and schedules
  • Providing and adding insight to the AWE consolidated financial plans, by analysing trends, highlighting key risks and opportunities to Finance Director, senior stakeholders
  • Leading the finance element of the ABC processes
  • Leading engagement with Business Planning team and the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office to ensure that Corporate Finance inputs are provided on time and to a high quality
  • Helping to shape forecasting processes and forecasting outputs
  • Working with the Business Insights team to ensure the systems and reports, are robust, controlled and provide the right level of detail to provide insight into the plans
  • Setting the direction, empowering, inspiring, motivating, and coaching team members to enable effective delivery of objectives and supporting individual's personal development and careers
  • Being an ambassador for Financial leading practice, lead initiatives to continuously improve Financial planning practice within AWE
