Role Overview:

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the final stage of our pupils' primary education, preparing them for the transition to secondary school. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum, ensuring each child is challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Year 6.
  • Prepare pupils for their SATs, providing targeted support to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of each pupil.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Uphold and promote the school's values and ethos in all aspects of your work.

About You:

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic teacher who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our pupils. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • A thorough understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and the ability to prepare pupils for SATs.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment.
  • A passion for teaching and a genuine interest in the educational and personal development of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and pupils.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies.
