Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in English Language, Literature, or a related field.
  • A passion for the field of English, and a drive to instil this into students.
  • Dedication to the wellbeing and education of young people.
  • Commitment to following safeguarding procedures.
  • Previous experience of working with students, or in a school setting is advantageous, but not essential.

The Role

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will assist teaching staff in tasks including the planning and delivery of engaging English lessons. You will also assess classwork, provide feedback, and create personalised support strategies and implement them on 1-2-1 and small group bases. Strong bonds will be formed between yourself, and students and you will actively partake in staff meetings, and extracurricular activities.
