Greenfield IT is pleased to be recruiting for a Service Desk Team Lead on behalf of our client, a leading company based in Telford.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical support background, exceptional leadership qualities, and a customer-first approach. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding service to our business clients while optimising service desk operations.

Service Desk Team Lead Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of IT services, ensuring alignment with agreed service
  • Oversee daily operations of the IT service delivery team, ensuring prompt and efficient support and maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders regarding IT service issues, requests, and escalations.
  • Implement best practices in IT service management, such as ITIL or other relevant frameworks.
  • Manage and mentor the IT service delivery team, providing guidance, training, and support to elevate their skills and performance.
  • Monitor service performance against SLAs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Lead root cause analysis for recurring issues, developing strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

Service Team Lead Candidates:

  • A minimum of 2 Years experience within a technical support role
  • Understanding of IT sales processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software products, including troubleshooting techniques.
