We are currently recruiting dynamic Nursery Assistants for ad-hoc, short-term, and long-term positions to support a primary school in Preston. The school is seeking qualified Teaching Assistants and nursery staff to provide essential support to the nursery on both a day-to-day and long-term basis in the upcoming academic year. Familiarity with Read Write Inc phonics and, if possible, continuous provision would be beneficial for those interested in pursuing long-term opportunities at this school. These positions offer flexibility, with options for a short-term commitment (typically 6 weeks or less) or a long-term arrangement (exceeding 12 weeks or one term). Responsibilities:
- To provide in-class support for either the whole class, identified individual students or small groups of students (e.g. 4-5 students).
- Under the direction of a class teacher, SENCO, to develop and lead small group work.
- Under the direction of the class teacher, to assist and support in upholding standards of behaviour across the class.
- To assist in delivering and producing teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiating the materials.
- To provide regular feedback to the class teacher and to the SENDCo or the relevant line manager.
- To support the teacher with setting up the class including the daily activities, ensuring that continuous provision is available, display boards, managing pupil journals and work books etc.

Essential requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (L2/3 TA etc.)
- High knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Classroom experience.
- Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
