Performance and Data Analyst
- Hourly Rate: PAYE £18.25 / LTD UMB £23.28

We are seeking a Performance and Data Analyst to support the SEND Improvement Business Case with a focus on driving data-informed service improvements. This role is crucial for analysing performance management information, developing targets, and ensuring data quality to meet the Council's statutory duties.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Analyse performance management information to develop and monitor performance targets.
- Use data to drive improvement and contribute proposals for remedial action where necessary.
- Collate, analyse, monitor, and challenge out turns and trends to identify emerging issues.
- Advise service managers on the implications of performance data to improve service delivery.
- Liaise with London Councils, Central Government, Local Authorities, and other relevant organisations for benchmarking purposes.
- Ensure data contributes towards the Council meeting its statutory duties, particularly in relation to Equalities, regulators, and statistical returns.
- Develop policies, systems, and procedures on data handling and information sharing.
- Provide data and information to support external assessment and inspection preparation.
- Analyse data for needs assessments to build understanding of local needs, including issues affecting minority groups.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in performance and data analysis.
- Ability to develop and monitor performance targets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collate and interpret data.
- Experience liaising with government bodies and external organisations.
- Knowledge of policies, systems, and procedures on data handling and information sharing.
- Understanding of statutory duties related to Equalities and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
